How do you become an All-Star?

Monday night I checked out the big fly contest that Major League Baseball puts on the day before the All-Star game. The topic of how these athletes hit so hard came up and I wanted to share some of the basic exercises that can help you reach the seats:

If you had the chance to watch the All-Star game, the pitchers certainly stole the show. With 96+ mph fastballs zipping past the best sluggers in the game, you begin to wonder what makes their heaters sizzle. Here are some exercises that can help you go late into games.

Whether you are training for the upcoming high school, college, or pro season or just trying to add a bit more movement on your weekend wiffleball challenge, the Gordon Institute is the place to be to take your game to the next level. Get in for Wednesday's Speed Camp at 6 pm every week, or give us a call and schedule a workout. Ask for Laurie and tell her that you received this update from the Gordon Institute's blog and I said the first workout is on me. Hurry though, I can probably only hold her off for a week or so.

How are you keeping cool?

It is a 100 degrees outside and I can barely standing walking to my car. What am I going to do to get my workout in today? HMM, well A/C is a must! A good coach who can motivate me on the tough days is up on my list too.

If your list of solutions to your workout plans begins like this, then you should check out this clip:

This is not your typical three sets of ten on the bench press, push it until it hurts, you aren't good enough unless you are using the really big dumbbells "training gym." We take pride in providing a service that exceeds expectations. You establish how hard you are willing to work and we find a way to get just two more reps. Check out these exercises and let me know if you could find a way to do two more:

The first day is always the hardest. The only thing stopping you from getting in the best shape of your life is you! Give us a call and sign up today. I want to meet you and have you on your way to looking your best and competing at your highest level.

Just posted this for you.

If you have not stopped in to check out the new facility yet, you are missing out. Have you made plans to join us for Speed Camp on Wednesday at 6 pm? We have had a blast the past few weeks and it continues to grow. Here are a few exercises and drills that Coach Price used last week:

Have you started preparing for your Football, Soccer, Field Hockey, and Cross Country seasons yet? The earlier you start the better prepared you will be for that grueling pre-season and long season. If you are expecting to have a break out year, then you should join the GI Team and start training this week. With drills like these you can be ready to impress the coaches.

Let us know what you think of these drills by leaving a comment and clicking "Like." We are working hard to bring you the best in sports performance and would love to work with you. Give us a call to schedule a workout today! Continue to spread the word about what we have been sharing on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
